I'm trying to connect to an iDisk account. My complaints are:
1. If you are connected and ANYTHING IS CHANGED from the other end, for example a password added, changed, or removed it will crash your own finder over the network.
2. This computer always forgets who it is - no fixed identity, need to connect to the server every single time. Essentially, it seems that the iDisk was made because MAC does not support FTP. I work at an architects office, all of the servers are PC and every other computer except these two macs are PCs. When the finder is confused or crashes, iDisk at Apple thinks this is a PC as evidenced by changing the log in window to "public" by itself rather than the user name?!?!?!?
Whats going on? Anyway around the constant logging in? Will a password really work to protect a public folder on iDisk ever? Can only one person be "on" the iDisk at any one time? What has my finder got to do with this? Can I set a preference and leave it there to permanently fix the reoccuring problem above?
